Most of them do outsourcing and can provide you with a job if you have the skills they are looking for. Go to see them directly or consult the ads they publish in the press or on Internet

Connections

Having connections and building a network is very important here as elsewhere  when you look for a job. The best thing to do is to go in places where Expats go. Of course people must know that you are looking for a job, so don’t be afraid to say that you have skills to « offer »

Associations

Foreign associations, especially those that help newcomers can provide you with precious help in your job search.

Teach in Vietnam Becoming a teacher?

It’s an interesting option. The country is paying more and more attention to its foreign relationships and is investing a lot in tourism. Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi have a lot a language schools looking for Expats with a good degree who are fluent in English, Japanese, Chinese and French. Depending on their needs and your availability you can easily get a full time or part time contract.

First, be aware that Vietnamese and Foreign companies are encouraged to hire local Vietnamese

If not, they have to explain why the people they hire have skills that don’t exist here in Vietnam.

Secondly, the company has to train its Vietnamese staff so that they can replace the foreign employees.

But in practice, you can find some real possibilities.

If you can, try to get an expatriate contract from your country.

For your information, 600$/month for a young expat executive is basically what a local executive with already several years of experience gets.
