temporary housing - 2BR to share for 2 months
by dai 2 Months ago
I am in HCMC for a two months and am renting a 2BR apartment. I am a Vietnamese-American here for a summer internship until Aug 13. I do not need two rooms and am willing to share the apartment for $325 to anyone who wants to live for two months (you might be able to work out a separate lease with the owner after I am gone). The apartment itself was built in 1982; this unit is particularly well-maintained and elegantly furnished by the owners, who have moved to a house.

The apartment building is part of a secluded block of apartment buildings that have been fitted with new stores, restaurants, and elevators to accomodate the foreign and local professionals who work here. Because of this , you get all the activity (taxis waiting in front of the apt, security guards for the apt) of a busy area without the chaos. It is also a 7 minute moto ride to Dong Khoi/Le Thanh Thon. Each apartment building contains either a nice restaurant, a coffee shop, or a modern style mini-mart (with a deli) so most of what you need on a daily basis is within a minute walk. Very vibrant but very safe.

It is hard to find an apartment this nice for a short stay in HCMC. Apartment owners want a 6 month or 1 year lease and often get it because of the shortage of housing suitable to expat workers. I understand the situation of people with short stays who do not want to pay for a serviced apt or hotel so e-mail me with your situation or call me after 7pm Vietnam time.
