The German International School is an independent co-educational day school, supported by the Federal Republic of Germany. Our vision is to provide a learning environment in which our pupils can learn academically, grow socially and develop individually. GIS provides a high quality education programme for children of the international families and Vietnamese citizen with foreign citizenship between the ages of 2 and 18. Instruction at the school is billingual in all division. In every year group teaching takes places billingually on German and English according to the German Thuringia curriculum.
GIS is committed to have the curriculum officially recognized and certified as being equivalent to the German International Abitur, and will also apply to be included as an International Bacheloriate (IB) school.
