Learn Vietnamese: How, Where PDF Print E-mail
There are many reasons to learn Vietnamese. As this website is dedicated to expatriation to Vietnam, we hope you will be motivated to learn this language. It will be helpful in your daily life if  you are planning to travel extensively in Vietnam, take up residence here,  do business with Vietnamese or more importantly making friends or more. Who knows??
Anyway you will see, it is a lot of fun. Just try it !

Learning Vietnamese may be confusing at the beginning.
The same word may have different meanings according to the tone used (6 different tones). The easy part is reading: Vietnamese people use the roman alphabet.
The grammar structure is fairly simple, words never change, and nouns have no masculine/feminine, no plural forms. Verbs have only one form regardless of gender, person or tense.…  So your more urgent and important task will be to get used to the pronunciation. One more thing: Some variation exists between the northern the center and the southern Vietnam.
