Learning Vietnamese may be confusing at the beginning.
The same word may have different meanings according to the tone used (6 different tones). The easy part is reading: Vietnamese people use the roman alphabet.
The grammar structure is fairly simple, words never change, and nouns have no masculine/feminine, no plural forms. Verbs have only one form regardless of gender, person or tense.… So your more urgent and important task will be to get used to the pronunciation.
