WWF Vietnam Country Programme is seeking for a candidate to fill in the volunteer position of Corporate Relations Consultant based in Ho Chi Minh City from June to December 2008.
I. Major functions:
Work as a WWF Corporate Relations Consultant of the WWF Vietnam Programme, to strengthen relationships with the current corporate partners and develop new ones in HCMC, to raise funds for WWF programmes and operations
Work with the Marketing & Communications Manager (MCM) and WWF Vietnam Country Director to develop a 6-month and a 3-year business plans for corporate engagement.
Promote Green Office and Corporate Club among the existing and potential new corporations in HCMC
Work closely with programme/project managers to prepare, and present project concepts to corporations
Raise WWF profile among businesses (e.g. using various media, including the Mekong Messenger, the Greater Mekong website, and the local media exposure )
Assist the MCM in organizing events related to Corporate Relations
II. Major Duties and Accountabilities:
Carry out desktop study on the CSR trends and environmental activities of the companies based in HCMC
Better understand and document current global and regional WWF Business and Industry (B&I) initiatives; and identify potential local target companies
Revise and complete the 3-year Business Plan
Develop a 6-month business plan and detailed action plan for HCMC market.
Prepare Green Office and Corporate Club presentation material
Arrange meetings with existing and potential corporate partners
Follow-up and manage corporate relationships with existing and potential partners
Maintain regular communication line to update/share experience with GM Marketing and Communications team
Work with WWF Vietnam programme staff to understand activities and companies impacting/involved with the programme;
Work closely with programme/project managers to develop and propose project concepts for raising corporate funds for the projects which need extra funding
Develop project sponsorship proposal to match companies requirements including staff engagement activities when necessary
Deliver the benefits rewarded to CC members and GO members
IV. Targets/Goals:
Meet with at least 30 new potential corporate partners
Identify at least 7 companies with a potential for contract signature within the next 3 months
Meet with at least 5 business associations (e.g. chamber of commerce)
Attend at least 2 business networking events a month
Build a comprehensive corporate database
V. Working Relationships:
Interact regularly with the WWF GMP Marketing & Communications team and WWF Vietnam programme staff,
Interact with WWF International B&I Team for guidance and material
Interact with MarCom teams of WWF offices in the region which have been active in corporate partnerships (WWF China, WWF Thailand, WWF Singapore)
Reporting line: Vietnam Country Director or Vietnam Programme Manager
VI. Minimum Qualifications:
1. Knowledge: Degree preferably in economics/business administration; basic knowledge and interest in environmental and conservation issues; English proficiency
2. Experience: At least two years experience in multinational companies, preferably in Business to Business sales and marketing.
3. Skills and Abilities: Excellent presentation and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently, pro-active and result oriented. Good computer skills.
