Creation is always a long road. I often compare it to a trip; What we see, what we touch, and what we listen to are the richessness of the soul we attribute to the objects....
This trip, I started it twenty years ago while I was studying ceramics, and becoming myself a ceramist. Exhibitions brought me to remote lands: Germany, England , Italy, Turkey, Japan and Vietnam. Some catalogue books talked about my ceramics. But I like the idea that my pieces of ceramic tell stories.
This book has been made of the same spirit you can find in my objects: stories of my Vietnamese friends, souvenirs, images, encounters, a little bit of dream, magic, smiles, and especially, the simple look at what's around us and that make the flavor of this world. I desired an easy reading book, enjoyable. As if all these 160 pages be a new moment, different from the previous one, like a surprise…
Three years have been necessary to create this first book. Collecting anecdotes has been long and I needed time to work on the drawings, the aquarelles and the pictures"
